Captain Bill Hardman is a native of St. Lucie County and graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School in 1974. He has an associate’s degree from Indian River Community College, a bachelor’s degree in management from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Liberty University.
Bill began his career with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office in July of 1991 as an Auxiliary Deputy and over his almost three decades with the agency has served in Uniform Patrol, the Traffic Unit, Criminal Investigations, Internal Affairs and Court Security.
Bill is widely known throughout not only our local community, but the state of Florida for his law enforcement work, specifically in the area of DUI enforcement. In fact, between the years of 1997 and 1998 while in the Traffic Unit, Bill made a record 585 DUI arrests.
