Sheriff Ken J. Mascara

Ken J. Mascara took the oath of office as Sheriff of St. Lucie County in January 2001 following his election in November 2000. He was re-elected in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

Responsibilities

Sheriff Mascara is statutorily responsible for the administration of law enforcement service in St. Lucie County, managing detention facilities, providing court security, and serving civil process. His duties also include leadership of 700 sworn and civilian professionals.

A long-time resident of St. Lucie County, Sheriff Mascara is the proud father of two children and one grandchild.
