St. Lucie County Court Judge orders Eriese Alphonso Tisdale held without bond in murder of St. Lucie County Sheriff's Sgt. Gary Morales, according to Sheriff Mascara
This morning, St. Lucie County Court Judge Thomas Walsh ordered that accused murderer Eriese Alphonso Tisdale continue to be held without bond at the St. Lucie County jail, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
Judge Walsh presided at bond hearings this morning at a courtroom at the South St. Lucie County Courthouse Annex in Port St. Lucie. Defendants were held in a secure area of the jail, connected to Judge Walsh's courtroom by a two-way video-audio link.
Tisdale, 25, is charged with the murder of Sheriff's Sgt. Gary Morales, 35, a 13-year veteran of the Sheriff's Office after Morales performed a traffic stop on Tisdale Thursday at 9:28 a.m. on Oleander Avenue just south of Fort Pierce in unincorporated St. Lucie County.
Deputis arrested Tisdale a few minutes after he fatally shot Sgt. Morales who was in his patrol car at the time. Tisdale drove away and crashed his car south of the scene of the shooting. He was jailed without bond.
This morning's hearing resulted in Tisdale remaining in confinement at the St. Lucie County jail without bond.
