St. Lucie Sheriff Mascara will tow Santa's sleigh to Saturday luncheon honoring Special Olympians at St. Lucie Draft House
At noon Saturday, St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara will deliver Santa Claus and his sleigh to a restaurant full of Special Olympians.
"I will be towing a specially constructed sleigh, with Santa and presents, to the St. Lucie Draft House, 6630 South U.S.1, Port St. Lucie," Sheriff Mascara said. "The event to honor Special Olympians is hosted by the restaurant to help recognize and support this excellent program."
The luncheon istelf will be prepared and served by volunteers from AFL-CIO labor organizations throughout the Treasure Coast.
"The AFL-CIO is a strong supporter of the Special Olympics, as are numerous other businesses and organizations," said Sheriff Mascara. "And of course, Santa's sleigh is union-made."
