St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara asks for public's help to locate illegal alien sought by authorities on South Hutchinson Island
St. Lucie County Sheriff's deputies have detained approximately half a dozen illegals on South Hutchinson Island and seized the 17-foot boat they used, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
"There is one illegal we're still looking for," Sheriff Mascara said. "He is a black male wearing dark pants and a blue shirt. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 9-1-1 in St. Lucie County."
The illegals came ashore sometime around sunrise in the 9500 block of South Ocean Drive, Hutchinson Island, St. Lucie County, about two miles north of the Martin-St. Lucie County line.
Officers of the U.S. Border Patrol and Customs Enforcement are on scene along with St. Lucie County Sheriff's deputies.
Deputies are using K-9 teams and a Sheriff's helicopter to look for the illegal who is still at large.
