Accused carjacker/rapists Stephens and Bynum are now in the St. Lucie County jail

Todd W. Stephens, 24, and Derrick Antonio Bynum, 18, both of Vero Beach, are now being held at the St. Lucie County jail without bond charged with sexual battery by multiple defendants (2 counts each defendant), aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment, among other charges.

They were brought from the Indian River County jail to the St. Lucie County jail earlier today after the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office served arrest warrants for the St. Lucie County charges on the two defendants  at the Indian River County jail.

The Fort Pierce Police Department is also investigating the carjacking, and additional charges are pending with that agency.

The two face charges from the Wednesday night abduction and sexual attack on a St. Lucie County woman whose SUV the two stole in Fort Pierce.
