Florida Police and Fire Games will take place on Treasure Coast June 19 - 25, bringing thousands of competitors, coaches, friends and family members to the Treasure Coast
 
Members of the public can participate in all of the dozens of competitive events of the Florida Police and Fire Games that will take place on theTreasure Coast June 19-25.

The Games will bring as many as 5,000 of competitors, coaches, family members and friends to Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee counties, which will have a multimillion dollar impact on the area at a normally slow time for the hospitality industry.

Details of the events, which range from archery to volleyball, can be found at the Games website lawgames.org.

Law Enforcement Coordinator of the Games is Garry R. Wilson, Chief Deputy, St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.

This is a business story, as well as a sports story, as well as a law enforcement story.

Headquarters of the Gamexs will be the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex of Indian River State College on Kirby Loop Road, Fort Pierce.
