St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces autopsy results from Sunday night shooting north of Fort Pierce
The results of the autopsy on Sunday night's shooting victim north of Fort Pierce indicate that the victim, Jerry King Alfred, 35, of Port St. Lucie, died from a gunshot wound, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
"We continue to investigate this incident that took place around 10 p.m. Sunday at 101 Devonshire Drive," Sheriff Mascara said. "We would like to ask for the public's help to determine exactly what happened at 101 Devonshire Drive that night and who was involved."

Deputies were initially summoned to 101 Devonshire Drive (Sheraton Plaza) for a robbery with shots fired. Once on scene, deputies were informed that two unknown black males entered the residence and demand money.
Subsequently, the victim, Jerry King Alfred, was shot. Shortly thereafter, the assailants fled the scene. They were both wearing black T-shirts, with one wearing jean shorts with other wearing tan khaki pants. They both had their faces covered.
Mr. Alfred was transported to the hospital by residents but died from his wounds at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute. * * *
