Homicide takes place in unincorporated neighborhood north of Fort Pierce Sunday night, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara announced today that detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday night (03-13-2011) at approximately 10:00 pm.
Deputies were initially summoned to 101 Devonshire Drive (Sheraton Plaza) for a robbery with shots fired. Once on scene, deputies were informed that two (2) unknown black males entered the residence and demand money.
Subsequently, the victim, Jerry King Alfred (black male, 35 yoa of Port St. Lucie, Florida) was shot. Shortly thereafter, the black males fled the scene. The black males were both wearing black t-shirts with one wearing jean shorts with other wearing tan khaki pants. They both had their faces covered.
Mr. Alfred was transported to the hospital by residents but died from his wounds at Lawnwood Medical Center.
