Sexually violent predator arrest for failing to register, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara announced the arrest of David Freeman of Colorado for Failure to Register as Required. Freeman was working for a fair ride sub-contractor at the St. Lucie County Fair Grounds. Detectives assigned to monitor sexual offenders and predators residing within St. Lucie County located Freeman as part of a normal pre-county fair sweep.
Freeman was originally classified as Sexually Violent Predator in the State of Colorado on December 15, 1999; however, he absconded when he moved to Arizona and did not register with Arizona Authorities on January 9, 2010.
Sheriff Mascara said he is committed to the safety of all citizens attending the County Fair.
Freeman is being held without bond at the St. Lucie County Jail.
