St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces two sessions coming up for self defense program for seniors
A senior adult self defense program will have two sessions next month in St. Lucie County, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.

"The course is called RAD for seniors," said Sheriff Mascara. "It gives senior adults the tools they need to improve their personal safety through proactive strategies and physical techniques appropriate for seniors."

Westside Baptist Church, 1361 South Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, will be hosting two separate sessions of RAD for Seniors, with both sessions running daily Sept. 20 - Oct. 1.
Session 1  will be 8:30 - 10 am.

Session 2  10:30 a.m. - 12 noon.

Course fee is $20.00 per person and $10 for each additional family member.

Classes will be in the Life Center of the church. To obtain a registration form, please visit stluciesheriff.com/rad_seniors or contact Linda Smeykal at 772-462-3604. Completed registration forms and fees can be delivered to the receptionist at the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, 4700 W. Midway Road, Fort Pierce.
