St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara announces the arrest of a suspect of the Robbery of Chase Bank located in Port St. Lucie
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara  is pleased to announce the arrest of a suspect in the robbery of the Chase Bank in Port St. Lucie.

Sheriff Mascara said “ Our investigators worked non stop throughout the night and were able to apprehend the suspect in less than 12 hours.”

The suspect , Tommy Ray Foster, Age 30 of Port St. Lucie was arrested shortly after 10:00 p.m. last night. Sheriff’s Detectives received a tip after a concerned citizen had seen photo’s of the suspect which were taken by the bank’s surveillance cameras during the robbery.

Following this tip, Detectives from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the suspect near his residence in Port St. Lucie. He was arrested without incident.

Sheriff Mascara stated “ This case came to a fast conclusion due to the hard work of our men and women at the Sheriff’s Office who worked on it continuously from the moment they got the call.”

Sheriff Mascara also said… “ The suspect in this case has an extensive criminal history that dates back about 15 years. The suspect also told investigators he was a high ranking Latin Kings street gang member. We are very glad to get him off the street.”

Sheriff’s Investigators are continuing to follow up some additional leads in this case.

Sheriff Mascara continued... “I would also like to thank the members of the media who were able to get the pictures of the suspect in the bank at the time of the robbery on the air quickly which led to a citizen seeing those pictures and calling us immediately after it was viewed.”

The suspect was charged with one count of Robbery with a Firearm. He remains in the St. Lucie County held without bond.
