stluciesheriff.com website now includes CrimeReports.com, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara
The website of the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, www.stluciesheriff.com, has added a new feature that Sheriff Ken J. Mascara says will give the public direct access to timely and important information about law enforcement incidents in their community.

"It's called CrimeReports.com," Sheriff Mascara said. "From our website's home page, there's a big box labeled 'Crime Reports.' From there, click 'Get Report.' You will be able to see what incidents have happened in your neighborhood, near your place of business in the county, and in the area around your children's schools."

People can simply enter an address and a date range to see activity in that area, Sheriff Mascara said. "If someone wants to get more detailed information, he or she can easily create a free user account, customize what kinds of information to see, and receive daily, weekly or monthly reports by e-mail."

People can also sign up for crime alerts, which are e-mails sent when certain user-specified crimes are committed in their neighborhood.

In addition, people can see whether sexual predators or sex offenders live in their neighborhood, the Sheriff said.

"We want county residents to have the tools to find out what kinds of law enforcement-related incidents occur anywhere in our county," Sheriff Mascara said. "With CrimeReports.com's many options, people can custom-design the information to suit their requirements."

The information is available 24 hours a day on the Internet. Those with iPhones can download the free CrimeReports iPhone app, at http://www.crimereports.com/iphone.

"The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office is proud to make this information available to county residents," Sheriff Mascara said.
