St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces arrest of Jeffrey Cooper and brother Christopher Brian Cooper and their friend Marc Braddock, all on drug charges

A one-month investigation in Port St. Lucie has resulted in tonight's arrest of two brothers and their friend on marijuana charges, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.

"Sheriff's drug agents tonight arrested Jeffrey Chase Cooper, 17 (DOB 5/06/92), and his brother, Christopher Brian Cooper, 21 (DOB 1/03/89), both 4464 S.W. Fireside Circle, Port St. Lucie, and their friend Marc Braddock, 21 (DOB 5/10/88), of 4375 Cahal Circle, Port St. Lucie, following complaints from neighbors about possible drug dealing at the S.W. Fireside Circle home," Sheriff Mascara said.

The two Cooper boys live with their father, Chris Cooper (a Port St. Lucie City Councilman) at the Fireside Circle home.

Jeffrey Chase Cooper was arrested on three active warrants for the sale and delivery of marijuana and possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. He also is charged with another count of sale and delivery of marijuana, and an additional count of possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. He was taken to the St. Lucie Regional Juvenile Detention Center of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, located in Fort Pierce.

Christopher Brian Cooper was arrested for possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Lucie County jail.

Marc Braddock was arrested for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Lucie County jail.

In March the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit received complaints about possible drug activity at the 4464 S.W. Fireside Circle, Port St. Lucie, home.  During the investigation an undercover deputy developed a relationship with Jeffrey Cooper. Over the next few weeks, Jeffrey Cooper sold marijuana on three occasions.

The investigation resulted in three arrest warrants for Jeffrey Cooper.

The investigation also led to a search warrant for 4464 S.W. Fireside Circle, Port St. Lucie.

Today, an undercover deputy arrived at that home and again purchased marijuana from Jeffrey Cooper. Detectives then arrested him and served the search warrant for the home. There, they found 136 grams of marijuana in Jeffrey Cooper's bedroom closet.

In the bedroom of older brother Christopher Brian Cooper, detectives found about 28 grams of marijuana and a digital scale.

Also at the home at the time the search warrant was served was Marc Braddock, whose vehicle was parked in the driveway. It was found to contain a marijuana grinder, scale and about one gram of marijuana.
