St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara partners with John Carroll High School for NOPE presentation March 26 to combat drug and alcohol abuse
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara and John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce are teaming up for an 8:20 a.m., March 26 hour-long presentation to students to fight drug abuse.
Members of the media are welcome at the presentation at the high school, 3402 Delaware Ave., Fort Pierce.
"As law enforcement officers, educators and community leaders, we know the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse," said Sheriff Mascara. "That's why we have a chapter of the Narcotic Overdose Prevention & Education Task Force here in St. Lucie County. That's 'NOPE' for short."
The presentation will feature public officials law officers, parents and students discussing the facts about prescription and street drugs and alcohol.
NOPE presents programs to students to educate them about the dangers of drug abuse.
