St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces arrest of seven men for lascivious acts in White City Park
In a crackdown on men using White City Park as a rendezvous for committing lewd acts with other men, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office arrested seven men Thursday afternoon, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.

"Our parks must remain family friendly," said Sheriff Mascara. "We will not allow them to be the location for lewd acts."

The men arrested ranged in age from 49 to 73. Two were from Fort Pierce, three were from Port St. Lucie and one was from Indiantown in Martin County.

In one case, a defendant met an undercover deputy in the park, 181 Midway Road, Fort Pierce, and arranged to meet him at a nearby supermarket parking lot to commit the lewd act. Once he did so, deputies arrested him.

Sheriff Mascara said deputies proactively conduct undercover operations throughout the year in county parks to prevent lewd behavior in the parks.
