St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces arrest of 26-year-old north-county woman for child neglect
St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies late this afternoon arrested a 26-year-old north county woman for child neglect, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“Olga Garay, of 220 Lilac Terrace, in northern St. Lucie County, was taken to jail, after an anonymous caller reported child neglect to the 9-1-1 center,” Sheriff Mascara said. “Florida Department of Children and Families workers removed five children from the home. Their ages are 13 months, two years, four years, five years, seven years.”
Deputies learned that the 13-month-old girl and the other children often were left alone in the home.
