Four law agencies team up with U.S. Marshals in one-day warrants sweep, arresting 12 deadbeat dads, 14 others in St. Lucie County
A U.S. Marshals task force, consisting of officers/deputies from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Port St. Lucie Police Department and Fort Pierce Police Department arrested 26 people Thursday in a “warrants sweep” operation.

All the arrests took place in St. Lucie County.

“It’s important to make sure that fathers and mothers owing child support fulfill their responsibilities,” said St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara. “If they don’t, they will face the consequences. Without child support, the children may become a burden on the governmental agencies forced to look after them.”

There were 12 arrests for deadbeat dads, which was the primary focus of the sweep. There also were 10 arrests for probation violations and four arrests on other charges.

Here are the names, dates of birth, cities of residence and charges of the 20 men and six women arrested Thursday night by the U.S. Marshals task force, with officers/deputies from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Port St. Lucie Police Department, Fort Pierce Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service. :
