20th Annual St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches golf tournament earns $58,100

The recent Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches golf tournament sponsored by St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara has raised $58,100.

The annual tournament held this year at The Legacy Golf and Tennis Club, benefits a network of programs and facilities to help displaced Florida Youths. The Youth Ranches are operated by the Florida Sheriffs Association, which originated the charitable, tax-exempt program in the late 1950s.

This year’s proceeds, added to those of previous years, bring the total raised in St. Lucie County to more than half a million dollars.

One hundred 34 golfers participated in the tournament. The committee of St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office members who planned the tournament included: Laurie Privateer, Tammy Schwab, Dorothy Shaw, Diane Trabulsy, Debra Wright and Lisa Robinson.
