St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara invites the public to 10th annual “Yappy Hour”
For the 10th year in a row, the St. Lucie County Surgical Center (across from the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie) is sponsoring the “Yappy Hour“ Friday to benefit the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“The public is invited from 5 to 8 p.m. to Yappy Hour at the surgical center, 1310 S.E. West Star Avenue, Port St. Lucie,” Sheriff Mascara said.
The event, for which a $5 family admission donation is requested, benefits the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.
Sheriff’s Office K-9 teams will be on hand with a demonstration scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
There will be booths on dog grooming, obedience, pet photography, dog bakery, pet health with the K-9 Unit’s veterinarian, face and tail painting, a food court, children’s fingerprtinting through the Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 400 and much more.
There also will be contests for the smallest and largest dogs, tricks, loudest bark and a pets on parade costume contest.
