St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara asks publicís help to identify arcade robber
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara is asking for the public’s help to identify the man who robbed an arcade worker of $150 around 10:30 Wednesday night.
“The robbery took place outside Famous Spin Win Arcade, 4412 South U.S.1, Fort Pierce,” Sheriff Mascara said.
The robber is described as a bald black male between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing a blue or gray tank top, blue shorts and work boots, about 40 years old and weighing 190 - 200 pounds.
“I am asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1 in St. Lucie County or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-8477 (TIPS),” Sheriff Mascara said. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward if the tip leads to an arrest.
Wednesday night at about 10:30 p.m., an arcade employee stepped outside the front of the store onto the store’s porch to shut the front door. As she began to close the door, the suspect, who was standing on the porch steps, asked her to give him a “good luck high five,” then grabbed her, wrapped his arms around her and demanded money.
The victim said he forced his hands into her apron, grabbed about $150 and ran away toward the north.
Please see the attached photos, which are still frames taken from the arcade’s video surveillance system.
