Body of missing/endangered woman found in Intracoastal Waterway near her home, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara
The body of Delores Whiteman Brink, 85, of the 10,000 block of South Ocean Drive (Holiday Out), South Beach, St. Lucie County, was found by an area resident late this afternoon floating in the Intracoastal Waterway, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“Ms. Brink was reported missing this afternoon by family members,” Sheriff Mascara said.
Her body was found behind the Holiday Out residential neighborhood at 5:30 p.m., floating in the Intracoastal Waterway, the Sheriff said.
Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division, K-9 Unit and Aviation Unit had been searching for her.
Detectives said it does not appear that Ms. Brink’s death was the result of any criminal activity.
