36-year-old Miami man is being held at Miami-Dade jail in theft of 35-foot motor boat from St. Lucie County, according to Sheriff Mascara
Thanks to an arrest earlier this week in Miami-Dade County, authorities have solved the case of the stolen 35-foot motorboat taken earlier this month from a St. Lucie County marina, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“Omar Marquez, 36, of Miami, is being held without bond at the Miami-Dade County jail,” Sheriff Mascara said. “He has been served with our arrest warrant for the theft of a 35-foot, 2008 Evergaldes motorboat. The boat and its motors have been recovered in Miami-Dade County.”
Miami-Dade police arrested Marquez Tuesday towing another boat he had stolen in that county.
On Oct. 17, Miami-Dade police found the 35-footer stolen Oct. 6 from the Marine Connection in St. Lucie County. The boat had been stripped of its motors and accessories, which Miami-Dade police recovered earlier this week following the arrest of Marquez.
