St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces arrest of four students for possessing a handgun at school, fifth student is being sought
St. Lucie County School Resource Deputies have arrested four students of Samuel Gaines School and are seeking a fifth student for possessing a gun at the school Thursday, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“I am asking anyone with information about where we can find Crista Wilson, 13, of Fort Pierce, to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS (8477),” Sheriff Mascara said. “People can give information anonymously and be eligible for a cash reward if the information leads to her arrest.”
Sheriff Mascara said: “Today, deputies arrested four Samuel Gaines School students, ranging in age from 10 to 14. The administrators, teachers and students at our schools have a right to a safe, positive learning environment. The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office will do everything possible to ensure this right.”
Sheriff Mascara said the students arrested today are: Bendrell Johnson, 10, Asencin Abarca, 13, Curtis Crehsnaw, 14 and Brandon Davidson, 14.
Sheriff Mascara said school officials worked in collaboration with School Resource Deputies in the investigation, which is continuing.
