St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office assists federal authorities in case of woman's body found 20 miles east of Sebastian Inlet, Sheriff Mascara announces
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office is assisting federal authorities in the investigation of a woman whose body was found by the U.S. Coast Guard 20 miles east of Sebastian Inlet, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“Coast Guardsmen from the Fort Pierce Coast Guard Station found the body of a woman in a blue bathing suit 20 miles east of the Sebastian Inlet around 1:30 this afternoon,” Sheriff Mascara said. “Because the body was brought to the Fort Pierce station, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office will attend the autopsy, which will take place Monday.”
