Hundred Club of St. Lucie County holds annual fund-raiser May 13
The Hundred Club of St. Lucie County's annual Officer of the Year Banquet is Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Gator Trace Country Club, 4302 Gator Trace Drive, Fort Pierce. The banquet is the principal fund-raiser for the group, which provides assistance to emergency services officers injured or killed in the line of duty.
Members of the media are encouraged to cover the event. Leaders of the county's emergency services and law enforcement agencies will be available for interviews between 6:30 and 7 p.m
T hese include: St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara, Port St. Lucie Police Chief John Skinner, Fort Pierce Police Chief Sean Baldwin, St. Lucie County Fire Chief Ron Parrish, Troop L Florida Highway Patrol Commander Capt. Deryl Loar, and others.
The Hundred Club of St. Lucie County was founded 20 years ago by emergency services and law enforcement leaders and businesspeople. One hundred percent of the money raised goes to benefit officers and their families in cases of serious injury or death of the officer.
