Sheriff’s detectives want public’s help in disappearance of Dori Ann Myers
St. Lucie County Sheriff’s investigators are asking the public’s help in the Jan. 11 disappearance of a Lakewood Park woman from her north-St. Lucie County home.
Dori Ann Myers, 43, of 8401 Salerno Road, Fort Pierce, who is white and 5 feet 3 inches tall, was last seen in the company of two men the evening of Jan. 10 at the St. Lucie Inn in northern St. Lucie County. One of the men had a dark complexion and the other was a white male wearing a ball cap.
Witnesses saw her 1998 Toyota being backed out of her driveway and driven off in the early morning hours of Jan. 11. Her purse and other personal items were left inside the home. She has not contacted family or friends.
Shortly afterward, a fire broke out at her home, Sheriff Ken J. Mascara said. The county Fire Marshal’s Office believes the fire was set. Investigators say the fire probably was set to cover up any possible clues.
Her burned out car was found the next day near a boat ramp in Glades County.
Those with information are asked to call St. Lucie County Sheriff’s detectives at 772-462-3230.
