| Jail Medical |
| There is now a dedicated telephone line (772) 461-5205 for inmate family members to call our Medical Unit. The telephone line was installed for outside individuals to share any medical information or concerns they have regarding an inmate. Medical personnel will check the answering machine daily and respond back to the caller. Medical personnel can no longer answer calls made to other telephone lines in medical. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which is the national patient privacy act, prevents medical personnel from providing medical information to anyone without the written consent of the inmate. |
